Known for his barbed and clever wit, he was one of the most successful playwrights of late Victorian London, and one of the greatest celebrities of his day. As the result of a famous trial, he suffered a dramatic downfall and was imprisoned after being convicted of the offense of gross indecency, which also included homosexual acts not amounting to buggery in British legislation.

Hi:

You asked us to let you know who\'s listening ...

I\'m doing both, from California.

I found your station a few days ago looking for a good classic stories station on the web. I really like your program mix!

I started listening with my iPod plugged into the car radio while I take my small child to school. Both of us loved the The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde, beautifully narrated Josie Bloom.

Keep up the good work.

Hi, Being new to your web site, I need more time! I was away from the computer for 3 weeks and am still trying to catch up with peopletalk. I have 4 new episodes on the iPod now, and have not syned up with the ipod in over a week, which means I have a pile more to add on. Loved Josie Bloom\'s very English accent and her clear pronunciation but would like to hear her do something other than a children\'s story. I am still working my way through the Cleopatra saga and really enjoy the story so far. History has only started to interest me later on in life, so the Mark Antony and Cleopatra story is facinating. Well done Sandra Ventris, lovely voice.
